Well, the news is officially out, WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!! As expected, Joey's Mom had the most emotional response. But everyone is excited. The best thing about waiting till the holidays to tell has been telling so many of our friends in person. The process of getting the news out has been exciting and exhausting and I know we have still missed many of our friends. It has been interesting to hear the first questions people ask. I'm pretty sure I am going to have to create a Frequently Asked Questions section, but until then I'll post answers to the top three questions.
1) The baby is due July 18th. Being the statistical geek that I am, I found out that the actual birth date usually falls 2 weeks before or after the due date, so we are basically saying July.
2) Theresa is almost through the 1st trimester. She has not had any morning sickness thankfully, just a little fatigue. All-in-all, things have gone very smoothly considering all the horror stories we have heard/read about.
3) Finally, we have decided that we are not going to find out the sex of the baby (if we can help it). I think it was put best by a friend of mine that said "not knowing the sex adds so much excitement in the delivery room." Between painting the nursery, bedding, and clothes, I'm sure we'll end up with a lot of green and yellow.
Nothing wrong with boys wearing pink or girls wearing blue!
